For me, it always happens during a meeting. Some overpaid blowhard will waxing poetic about shifting a paradigm or enhancing the corporate culture when my mind wanders to the palm tree swaying in the breeze painted into the generic island scene that adorns the wall of every conference room in America. In a split second I've cast off the shackles of my hopeless indenture and I'm living a life of white, sandy beaches and tradewinds that take me from beef casserole slimming world glorious tropical paradise to the next.

Choose a beer that is relative in 'body' or weight, as the food you are pairing it with. If you were having a salad and grilled vegetables, a lighter beer, such as Long Trail's Blackberry Wheat, would be an excellent match. And of course, a heavier meal like beef stew jamie oliver would be best paired with a heavier beer such as a robust porter.

It sounds so obvious to double up on recipes, but how often to we do it? Somehow we have visions of being knee deep in pounds of raw ground beef and chopped onions. However, if you are going to chop one onion, you may as well chop two. If you are going to brown one pound of ground beef you may as well brown two. And so on. You have one dirty pan, but two meals. One to eat now and one to act as one of those freezer meals which are a total blessing on chaotic days.

Allow these veggies to start to cook down. You don't want the saucepan to get too hot or to have the veggies start to dry out and stick. You can add a half a cup of soup stock to cool things down. Add the meat once the veggies have heated and started to cook through. Add about a half teaspoon of salt now also.

You can get delicious meals with freeze dried foods too like lasagna, beef stew red wine, chili macaroni, beef stroganoff and even desserts like blueberry cheesecake and raspberry crumble.

Brown the ground chuck and then drain off the fat and water mixture. Place back on the stove top and add in the large, chopped yellow onion. (For a bit thicker stew, you can stir in about a tablespoon of flour, if you like.) Also, blend in the cubed potatoes. After the onion turns clear and the potatoes soften, drain the juice from the tomatoes (do not put the juice in the meat to avoid the taste of the metal can) and dump the can of tomatoes in your meat mixture. Use a generous portion of Chili Powder seasoning to spice up the meat, but do not use too much. (Remember, you can always add more, but you can't take away.) Simmer the spices into the meat.

There is more to a culinary career than stirring pans and chopping onions. This is why it is important that you get hold of chef career information like this before you actually make your decision, so you will know what to expect.
